This survey was posted on facebook and it's purpose it to find out how different social groups experience Laren. 21 people filled in the survey

*All classes overwhelmingly agree there is a superiority complex in Laren
*People feel less comfertable in the intersection/centre of Laren that in the town in general
*All social classes have seen discrimination because of social class happen in Laren around the same amount
*People feel less comfertable in stores than they do in horica
*People of lower social classes feel less welcome in Laren
*People of all classes feel stared at in the centre
*People of upper classes feel 1 point more comfortable in Laren.

In this results I was expecting upper class individuals not to say they've seen discrimination because of social class happen but to my surprise every single upper class person said they had.
Also apart from 1 person who have 1 point, every single person gave the question about how much of superiority complex Laren has a 2.
I did notice a clear distinction between social classes when it came to the questions about how comfortable people felt in horica and stores, lower classes feeling more uncomfortable.
I decided to focus on the fact that all all classes felt less comfortable at the intersection/centre of Laren and felt judged and watched there. That seems to be one of the bigger problems.

I made this survey so I could decide on what point where most important when it came to safety and a feeling of inclusion when making my intervention

For my research about Laren, I combined the things I know with talks I had with others I knew here, like family and friends, online videos like the powned videos underneath, and other information I could find online about the population, the location and the structure of Laren. I wanted to build a general amount of knowledge about the whole city before I started to focus in on the intersection that I wanted to focus my mapping on. For further research for the intersection I went there and and looked at the structure of the space, how the buildings looked, how it was designed and decorated, and looked at what about this place can lead to a uncomfortable feeling.
